gray matters is an interdisciplinary studio in the East Village, NYC.

We work across multimedia, performance, installation art, architecture, and urbanism.

Founded by Merica May Jensen, an architect and gardener who’s first career was in dance, the studio explores the choreography of experience and architecture’s role as a social agent.

The studio is licensed for Architecture as a WBE in NY State.
